House Extension and Remodel, Preston

FULL PLANNING APPROVED for an Absolutely stunning contemporary house extension Preston.

The designs were produced using the client’s initial ideas, we took those ideas and made them a reality.

The project consisted of remodelling an existing bungalow.

Including demolition of an existing garage and two story element to the rear.
Formation of first floor over property,
Two story extensions to front,
Two story extensions to rear,
Single story extension to side and rear,
Terrace at first floor to rear
Extension of existing driveway area and
Pergola to rear.

The existing bungalow already had a large two story rear extension which was completely at odds with the character of the building and looked to be an unsightly addition.

We were appointed to see how we could improve the layout, appearance and increase the accommodation with the roof space. After several feasibility concepts for the site the most suited for the site was actually to remove the roof in its entirety. We proposed to extend the first floor making the bungalow a true two story dwelling which was innkeeping with the adjoining owners and maintained the neighbouring ridge heights. To improve the layout of the property we completely remodelled the ground and floor floor and extended to the front and rear of the property to provided a 21st century modern open plan kitchen dinning area with sliding doors, a cinema room, formal living areas, new bedroom accommodation with vaulted ceilings to the first floor and a roof terrace out to the rear overlooking the nearly landscaped garden.

The appearance of the house has been completely transformed adding two vaulted floor to ceiling windows to the facades, timber panelling and render. To the rear has been carefully designed, linking to the front façade and to maximise the garden space creating a beautiful indoor and outdoor environment.
