Indoor Football Arena Design
Carters has started a new concept for creating state-of-the-art indoor football facilities specifically designed to be an ideal space for sporting activity all year round. The indoor football arena will be a state-of-the-art facility using an environmentally friendly, cost-effective and sustainable structure and construction methods.
The structure proposed will enable the client to construct a cost-effective indoor football centre in a variety of different sizes and configurations to perfectly match their unique needs. The football dome is proposed to be made from high-tensile steel, which is hot dip galvanised or aluminium to offer protection against corrosion. Covers are made from flame-retardant, PVC-coated polyester fabric, are extremely robust, long-lasting, and made with high-strength, state-of-the-art materials—providing a faster and more cost-effective alternative to conventional construction.
Carters have developed this innovative concept design for a high quality, cost effective and environmentally friendly football arena that can be rapidly constructed with economic cost certainty through a pre-designed, off-site solution.
Developing the concept building form and layout in conjunction with specialist framed manufactures and leisure industry experts, bringing together a complete project team to deliver a turnkey solution from design through to handover.
The concept design develops a complete FIFA sized 4G indoor football pitch, running track, and changing facilities for home and away teams. Not only that we wanted to create a space not just for football but for a multi-function with other leisure facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool, sports clinics, shops, restaurants, classrooms, office spaces, cafes, gym and a bar. This multi-functional space could also be used for other live concerts and event utilising the space all year round 360 days of the year.
Individual areas have been designed in a way to use shipping container style or modular pod structure's which would be sited within the dome at different angles with one another and create a tiered level of facilities over three levels and connecting walkways.
The activity centre will promote health and well-being in an environmentally and economically attractive solution.
